ND State Renews Health Plan with Sanford
Posted 9/25/18 (Tue)
The North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (NDPERS) Board renewed its contract with the Sanford Health Plan on September 25. The contract, effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021, provides health insurance benefits to over 60,000 active and retired members.
In making its decision, the Board determined that Sanford’s performance and premium projections met the board’s expectations, as required by North Dakota Century Code section 54-52.1-05. Deloitte Consulting, the Board’s independent health insurance consultant, provided the Board with premium projections for active employees and retirees as well as a reasonable range for premium increases for both populations. These factors and other relevant information supported the Board’s decision to renew.
This process marks the second and last two-year renewal option as part of the current contract with the Sanford Health Plan.
